Fried Chicken and Waffle Sandwiches

These Fried Chicken and Waffle Sandwiches are a delicious twist on the classic dish. Crispy fried chicken breasts are sandwiched between warm, fluffy waffles and topped with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a drizzle of maple syrup. It's the perfect combination of savory and sweet!

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 4 waffles homemade or store-bought

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • Vegetable oil for frying

  • Maple syrup for serving

  • Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish

Instructions:

Whisk the eggs and buttermilk together in a bowl


Add the breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper to a different bowl and mix them together


First, dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture


Then, use the flour mixture to cover it evenly


Put vegetable oil in a deep skillet and heat it over medium-high heat


It should take about 5 to 7 minutes per side to fry the chicken breasts until they are golden brown and fully cooked


Put paper towels down to dry


Do not take them off the heat until they are warm and crispy


Put a piece of cheddar cheese on top of each chicken breast


BROIL or OVEN IT UP to melt the cheese


To make the sandwiches, put a piece of fried chicken on a waffle and then add lettuce, tomato slices, and another waffle on top of that


If you want to add maple syrup to the fried chicken and waffle sandwiches, serve them hot

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized sweet potatoes

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded pork shoulder

  • 1/2 cup sugar-free BBQ sauce

  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400F 200C


Scrub the sweet potatoes clean and pierce them with a fork

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded pork and sugar-free BBQ sauce


Mix well

  • For Streusel Topping:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Warm your oven up to 350 F 175C and put paper liners in a muffin tin


Put the sugar, sour cream, milk, egg, vanilla extract, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl


Mix the ingredients together


Don't mix any further than that


To make the streusel topping, put the flour, sugar, melted butter, and ground cinnamon in a separate small bowl and mix them together until they look like coarse crumbs


Put a spoonful of muffin batter into each muffin cup


Then, cover each muffin with a lot of streusel topping


Put the muffins in an oven that has already been heated for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into one comes out clean


Take the muffins out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes in the pan


Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely

If you don't know, these vegan patties are full of quinoa! Because quinoa is a complete source of protein, these patties are not only tasty but also good for you. They're great for a quick and filling meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa

  • 1 cup cooked black beans, mashed

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed mixed with 6 tablespoons water as egg substitute

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions:

Put black beans, onions, garlic, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl


Add the cooked quinoa and mix it all together


Mix everything together well until it's all mixed together


Make patty shapes out of the mixture and cover them with breadcrumbs


Spray a little oil on a nonstick skillet and heat it over medium-low heat

  • 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin powder

  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F


Almond flour, coconut flour, salt, two tablespoons honey or maple syrup, and melted coconut oil should all be combined in a bowl


Stir until a dough-like consistency is achieved


To make the crust, press the dough firmly into a 9-inch pie pan


Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly golden, in a preheated oven


Take it out and allow it to cool fully
